BELLE VOCI - sub non-varsity

While Belle Voci competes as a non-varsity choir, these students have a wide variety of music backgrounds and are all freshmen. During the first semester, each class learns its own music and one or two combined pieces for the large ensemble. Vocal technique and sightreading are the primary focus for the fall. In the spring, the two classes (Voci and Ensemble) combine to form the UIL sub non-varsity choir, performing more challenging literature in preparation for many of the students advancing to the non-varsity and varsity choirs. Although the class is open to all freshmen treble voices who are interested in choir, each student is evaluated in the fall on the following criteria: ability, vocal promise, and attitude.
